Hoka Latest News – Desert run abandoned, more instores announced.

Let’s face it – news of 3 upcoming instores just can’t compete with reports of Multimarathon being abandoned due to fire threats.

Taken down talking to her over the phone from Alice Springs, Jane Trumper’s report is here. A massive fire front has closed the Simpson Desert for now, and feeling confident about their chances with 350km done and 300km to go, the runners are variously ‘gutted’, ‘flat’, and ‘devastated’.

So happy to hear your voice tonight, so sorry that it’s about the race being abandoned.

Great job everyone, fascinating how you’d all begun to run together and were taking turns to win the day for your favourite charity. Bummer that you couldn’t keep going to Birdsville. And unreal that you all have such good things to say abourt your comms, vehicle, and support crews.

Desert runners, putting their feet up.

Hot hard day at the office…

Thanks to Horrie and Sebastian for getting along to Footpoint Mosman for Thursday night’s instore – hope you keep loving your new Hoka Bondi!

Next instores will be:

Thursday October 13, around 6:30pm – group run/Hoka test run – from Northside Runners, Crows Nest.

Sunday October 16, 9am – come out with us for your Sunday morning run and test out a pair of Hoka One One and Footpoint’s Mosman race course before the big prize is chased down on October 23.

Sunday October 16, 4pm – Running Science, Rozelle (on Victoria Rd). If you want to try out a pair of Hoka One One, come on down to Running Science for a Sunday afternoon Bay Run.
